Orientation serves as a tool to help you learn more about your benefits and the VCU community, including its policies, resources and services.

Classified staff orientation
See the “Welcome Packet” letter mailed to your home for more information about the paperwork
you will need to complete and bring to the meeting with your personnel administrator.
The packet also includes your orientation session date, which is scheduled by your HR consultant. Due to space limitations, new employees should only attend the session on their assigned orientation dates.
VCU holds biweekly orientation sessions from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room 115 of the HR training building
at 922 W. Grace St. on the Monroe Park Campus.
Agenda topics include:
- Who we are
- How we measure success
- Ways we value faculty and staff
- Employee benefits
As a safety-conscientious institution, VCU has designed an on-line training session for you to take to help protect you in your work:
