Description of general responsibilities:

Review and process grant submissions. Ensure that contracting procedures are being followed and all appropriate signatures are received. Reconcile all grant account expenditures on a monthly basis with the FRS system and report to PI and Administrator. Approve expenditures on grant accounts. Facilitate effort certification reporting. Calculate and amend PAFs for processing. Commit charges for salary and fringes using the information on PAFs. Compose memos, letters, prepare requisitions and other forms as required.

Qualifications:

High School graduate or equivalent, BA or BS in business, accounting, or related field preferred. Progressive years of experience in an academic office required, prefer social science or academic research environment. A working knowledge of Human Resources and Grant Administration including FRS, HRS, Access, and EARS. Strong skills in financial, organizational, interpersonal, professional, and communication areas. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment. Strong problem solving skills.

Additional comments:

Interim assignment: Critical need for individual to have at least 1 year experience with VCU and FRS accounting system. Preference is for a seasoned VCU employee who has/had extensive experience in FRS and performing duties as listed above. 40 hours per week and most likely the need will be for a couple months. Qualifications:

The Office of Environmental Health and Safety at Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a full-time industrial hygienist to conduct healthcare facility job hazard analyses and training. Will conduct and validate OSHA-required job hazard analyses in a healthcare setting to ensure appropriate personal protective equipment is in use, required training has been provided, and hazard communication/Worker's Right to Know requirements have been completed. Will conduct onsite and classroom training in personal protective equipment and hazard communication. Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Ability to represent the agency on contractual matters, project strong customer service, and maintain positive and productive relations with university partners is essential to this position. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Education: Prefer BA/BS in Business Administration or related discipline. Description of general responsibilities:

Manages and coordinates all phases of training projects in order to maintain schedule, budget and project efficiency within the Training Division. Establishes work plans, timelines and schedules and resource requirements. Ensures development and implementation of communication techniques and delivers written and oral training reports to agency management, project partners, and other stakeholders. Reviews all training projects for consistency, required items, regulatory compliance, quality, and consistency with agency goals. Performs needs assessments, analyzes data, and identifies preliminary training plans. Facilitates project status meetings and maintains inter-office timelines to meet established deadlines. Tracks equipment, supplies and resources within the Training Division. will have responsibility for the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) Learning Management System (LMS) as the Systems Manager. Qualifications:

Several years of experience with development and management of comprehensive project plans, preferably in human services and/or training. Experience must reflect the ability to organize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines from concept to implementation. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and apply the skills sets to provide project team leadership. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, along with demonstration of strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Experience must also reflect extensive familiarity with project management tasks, techniques and models such as Project Initiation Documents, Scope Statements, GANNTT Charting, Risk Assessment Matrix, Procurement Documentation, and Close-out Reports. Essential knowledge in instructional system design and adult learning principles is essential. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Systems applications. LMS experience preferred. BA/BS in Business Administration or related discipline preferred. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
