This event includes an overview of the new compensation plan, market-based salary ranges, career communities and mentoring opportunities. You can preview a draft of this information before Monday's event. Registration is not required. All activities are offered on an ongoing basis which will allow employees to attend at their convenience. Your feedback is welcome throughout the event. Raffle and prizes.

Career communities 
This session is designed to share the definition and purpose of a career community and how they can incorporate mentoring, networking and learning and development.

Career pathing and job families 
Learn about the structure of career pathing and its impact on an employee’s career journey. Find out how career paths and compensation work together in the new HR plan.

Employee’s expectations 
This session will highlight the various ways employees are to be engaged and accountable for their career development. Employees are encouraged to participate in development opportunities that are of interest to them to improve their effectiveness in their current position, to prepare themselves for career advancement, and for their personal career development. 

Manager’s expectations
This session will highlight the various ways managers can support their employees, by empowering them to be responsible and accountable for their career development. Managers are expected to support employees in pursuit of their career interests and to allow employee participation in appropriate developmental opportunities. 

Mentoring
Learn about the value of mentoring in the workplace and how its impact affects employee retention and the work that’s being doing to implement a new university-wide mentoring program.

RamTalent Connection (learning and performance management system)
This session will demonstrate a few of the features of the new learning and performance management system.
