For VCU Employees...
H1N1 Flu Update. Click here for H1N1 and seasonal flu information or call the VCU H1N1 Flu line at 828-9011 for the latest information. More flu information sources include www.flu.gov and 1-800-CDC-INFO. The Virginia Department of Health will answer questions about H1N1 flu during regular business hours at 1-877-275-8343 (1-877-ASK-VDH3).
COVA Care plan members and covered dependents may receive free flu shots at participating pharmacies during this year's flu season.

Avoid close contact.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick. When you are sick, keep your distance from others to protect them from getting sick too.
Stay home when you are sick.
If possible, stay home from work, school, and errands when you are sick. You will help prevent others from catching your illness.
Cover your mouth and nose.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. It may prevent those around you from getting sick. More![]()
Clean your hands.
Washing your hands often will help protect you from germs. More![]()
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.
Germs are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.
