VCU's 2008 Holiday Schedule

Nine-month faculty observe
the same holidays as students; they do not accrue holiday time.

observe the holiday schedule below:

schedule above includes additional holiday time granted by the Governor.

VCU's 2008 Winter Closing (December 22, 2008
through January 2, 2009) requires 12 additional hours
(8 hours on December 23 and 4 hours on December 24) for which eligible faculty
and staff must take
leave (with or without pay) to cover the time away from work.

January 1,
2009 (New Year's Day) and January 2, 2009 are 2009 holidays and are included in VCU's
2009 holiday schedule. VCU resumes normal business operations on
January 5, 2009.
Note:
The holiday schedule above does not apply to VCU Health System employees, as
they are covered
by the Paid Time Off
(PTO) program that combines annual, sick,
and holiday leave.
