VCU's 2009 Holiday Schedule

Nine-month faculty observe
the same holidays as students; they do not accrue holiday time.
Twelve-month faculty and classified staff
observe the holiday schedule below:

VCU's holiday
schedule above includes additional holiday time granted by the Governor.

VCU's 2009 Winter Closing (December 19, 2009
through January 3, 2010) requires 24 additional hours
(8 hours each on December 21, 22 and 23) for which eligible faculty
and staff must take leave (with or
without pay) to cover the time away from work.
January 1, 2010 (New Year's Day)
is
included in VCU's
2010 holiday schedule. VCU resumes normal business operations on
January 4, 2010.
Note:
The holiday schedule above does not apply to VCU Health System employees, as
they are covered
by the Paid Time Off
(PTO) program that combines annual, sick,
and holiday leave.
