* When reading about health insurance, please note the following:
Faculty who work 80% or more FTE (full-time equivalency) are considered full-time for health insurance coverage, which means that VCU pays a portion of the premium and the faculty member pays a portion of the premium.
Faculty who work between 50 and 79% FTE are eligible for health insurance coverage; however, participants pay the total premium (VCU's premium portion plus their own premium portion).
Faculty who work less than 50% FTE are not eligible for health insurance coverage (or retirement benefits).
