Important Safety Information

Virginia Commonwealth University is committed to assisting all members of the community in providing for their own safety and security. The current annual security and fire safety report is available on the VCU website at http://www.police.vcu.edu/docs/CampusSafetyReport.pdf [PDF]. If you would like to receive a paper copy of the report, you can stop by the VCU Police Department at 938 W. Grace St. or you can request that a copy be mailed to you by calling (804) 828-6334. The report contains information regarding campus security, personal safety, and fire and crime statistics related to our university community.

If you or someone you know is interested in applying for a position within the university departments of the Monroe Park Campus or MCV Campus, Virginia Commonwealth University Human Resources is the right place to start. Individuals may apply for faculty positions and classified staff positions that offer a variety of benefits or for hourly positions that are restricted to 1,500 work hours in a 365-calendar-day period. Opportunities for student employment, retirees and summer work programs also exist.

Applications for classified and hourly positions are accepted online through eJobs, the university’s Web-based system. The system's flexible search tools allow you to sort through job vacancies and apply for positions in your area of interest. As an added convenience, you can cut and paste much of the information requested in our Web-based application from an electronic version of your paper application.

Once you have used eJobs to locate and apply for the position(s) of your choice, the system allows you to track your progress in the hiring process, see the status of the position(s) for which you have applied, and update your application online. You can even access the system at any time from any Internet connection.
